Monica Stewart is the Director of Operations for the Academy of Music Production Education and Development (AMPED). She oversees the AMPED Music Academy, Family Learning Program, AMPED Tech Team, AMPED Data Analytics Immersive and Russell Tech Business Incubator. She has an extensive background in Banking, Human Resources, Healthcare and Professional Development. Monica is also the Founder and CEO of Transitions Caregiver Solutions. She earned her Bachelor’s in Economics and Masters in Business Administration. She has served as a Board Member of Senior Care Experts, and enjoys helping youth and adult learners to determine their overall educational and career paths.
Dana Johnson is the Senior Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Greater Louisville Inc., working to create a more diversity and equitable business community across the Louisville region. She builds strong relationships both locally and nationally to attract new businesses to the area. Dana has more than 20 years’ experience in community affairs, government relations, public relations and philanthropy. Prior to joining GLI, Dana held posts with Louisville Metro government, The Community Foundation of Louisville, and Churchill Downs Incorporated. She is active in the community with her church and several non-profit organizations including, St. Stephen Church Family Life Center, Norton Healthcare Foundation, Park Community Credit Union NSPIRE Growth Fund, and Dress for Success Louisville, and formerly served on the YMCA Black Achievers Steering Committee, Summer Bridge Program and The West Louisville Boys and Girls Choir. Dana received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Spalding University. She is also a graduate of Leadership Louisville’s IGNITE! Louisville, and a 2021 member of the Bingham Fellows. Dana’s favorite pastimes are shopping, entertaining, decorating and spending quality time with her family and friends. She and her husband Kevin are the proud parents of two adult children.
Jackie Willmot, RN, MSN, MBA is the CEO and Co-founder of XLerateHealth. She has 30+ years of experience in the healthcare industry, including 13 years as a clinician and 15 years as an executive at Humana in the Innovation Center, as well as 2+ years working for a Humana Startup in the United Kingdom. Since leaving Humana in 2009 she has worked with 100+ startups. Jackie was trained by Steve Blank in his ‘Lean Launchpad Educators Class’ at Stanford University, and serves as a business coach in a variety of capacities. She was a founding member and on the Board of Directors of the Network for Entrepreneurial Women and works with healthcare startups via the LaunchIt program where she works closely with Coulter, ExCITE, and I-Corps funded companies. Jackie is a Principal Investigator (PI) on a 3-year NIH funded program to create the XLeratorNetwork in the Southeast IDeA States and also sits on the External Review Board (ERB) for the NIH funded KYNETIC program. She is a Master’s prepared Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist and holds an MBA from the University of Louisville’s entrepreneurship program, a Master’s of Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Baccalaureate Nursing degree from Villa Maria College.
Dr. Mary Tapolsky is the Assistant Director, External Programs in the University of Louisville’s Forcht Center for Entrepreneurship. She develops and manages programs that support entrepreneurs at the university and in the community and teaches entrepreneurship courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels in the College of Business. Some of the programs she created, developed and manages include LaunchIt (a 10-week entrepreneur training program to help entrepreneurs de-risk starting their business or launching a new product and has graduated over 545 entrepreneurs), RevIt – Accelerating Customer Growth (a team of marketing experts volunteer to work with early stage companies with customer traction and a marketing pain to offer customized strategies for attracting and retaining customers), Open Office Hours (service providers provide 30 minutes of complimentary advice to local startups), and e + i Entrepreneurs Meet Innovators (fireside chat setting featuring highly successful founders that discuss their entrepreneurial journeys, subsequently aired on KET). In recognition of her contributions to the entrepreneurial community, Mary received the 2017 Outstanding Leadership in the Entrepreneurial Community award from GLI’s EnterpriseCorp. She is on the Board of Venture Connectors and serves on the committee scheduling the monthly keynote speakers. Mary has a doctorate in chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and more than ten years’ experience in research and development. Prior to her current position, she worked with the University of Colorado’s Technology Transfer Office as a senior licensing associate, gaining expertise in technology evaluation, patentability and valuation, negotiation of licenses and other university agreements, and facilitating creation of university-based start-up companies.
