Our August panel will feature four entrepreneurial women in the construction industry:
Nancy Bailey – Bailey Safety
Nancy Bailey worked as a nail technician in Louisville for 22 years. During that time she started and owned a nail salon which she sold when she had her second child. After being a stay at home mom for 8 years she entered the work force again as the payables clerk in the accounting department of Bailey Tools. Gaining interest and certifications in the safety service department of the company, Nancy started Bailey Safety in June of 2013. She now owns and works full time managing and selling for Bailey Safety. Her company offers safety training, consulting and risk management services for commercial and industrial contractors in Kentucky and Indiana. With a growing team and continuing education, we pride ourselves in finding solutions for our customers safety concerns. Nancy is currently 100% owner of Baily Safety while her husband Steve Bailey is the VP of Operations for Total Tool. They live in Oldham County, have two children: Amanda age 22 and Hayden age 20. When she is not working, Nancy enjoys time with her husband and two children as well as many siblings and their offspring. Whether on land or water she enjoys being outdoors. Also enjoying time in her tiny gardens: flowers, vegetables, and fruit as well as her many birds, currently 37 chickens, 3 Guineas and one peahen.
Maria Triplett – Allterrain Paving & Construction
Maria Triplett is the President of Allterrain Paving & Construction located in New Albany, IN. She is responsible for business planning, marketing and overall day to day operations of this general contracting company that specializes in infrastructure repair and installation for numerous local municipalities. APC is certified nationally as a Women Owned business as well as with Louisville Metro, Louisville Water Company & Louisville MSD. Maria has served two terms as President of the Louisville Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction and is currently in her 4th term as Treasurer. Through her service with NAWIC, she is actively involved with Women Build for Habitat for Humanity. Maria has served on the Louisville Chapter Board of Directors of the American Red Cross, where she is a member of the Tiffany Circle and chaired the annual Wrapped in Red Gala. She currently serves as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) representative in Floyd County. APC supports numerous local charities as well including Kosair Shrine Circus, the Special Olympics, The Animal Care Society and Honor Flight. In her free time, she enjoys reading, concerts, vacationing at her second home in the Bahamas, and spending time with her family, which includes 2 grown sons and a grandson. She and her husband Steve, with whom she works, reside in New Albany.
Chelsea Ellis-Hogan – Jim Reynolds Asphalt
Chelsea is the #1 Amazon Best Selling Author of “Fail to Success.” She is Owner/CEO/President of Jim Reynolds Asphalt Contractor, an asphalt maintenance company that specializes in sealcoating, crack fill and pothole repair Her passion is in marketing and branding businesses. She prides herself in helping others find their passion and turn it into a paycheck.
and moderator Kimberly Greenwell – My Southern Home
Kimberly grew up in Bardstown, Kentucky a small charming Southern town located near Louisville, Kentucky. After graduating from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Broadcasting, she settled in Louisville where she worked at WAVE 3-TV for seven years as an advertising Account Executive. In 2007, Borrell Associates recruited Kimberly to help television stations, newspapers, and radio stations with their digital advertising platforms. In 2010, she took her traditional and interactive media knowledge and started the company, KAG Media Consulting. One of her first clients was the Building Industry of Greater Louisville. Kimberly’s work with this association allowed her to quickly become an expert in the real estate and home-related industry. This opened the door to a new career she never expected, and back in front of the camera. In 2015, WBNA 21 asked her to host and produce a local home television show. Kimberly helped WBNA 21 build the show, “Your Kentuckiana Home”, from the ground up. In July of 2017, Kimberly started producing and hosting her own television show, “My Southern Home with Kimberly Greenwell”. The show quickly expanded to Nashville, TN in the fall of 2018.
